Aragon Enterprises

Below, you will find a list of our frequently asked questions (FAQ) on our company, packages, logo design process, printing, and many others. If you have any other question or need advice please feel free to contact us.

Why choose Aragon Designs? With so many internet logo design companies, what makes you different?
This is an easy question. We tell you exactly what we offer without hiding behind marketing jargon. We know what we are doing and explain everything to you. We feel the best customer is an informed one. You tell us what you need and we will recommend the best package to fill that need. We then strive to deliver a professional logo that leaves a lasting impression while capturing your company's style.

Why do you offer less concepts than other companies?
We really don't. Here's the bottom line – sure, we can list that we offer 10 or 20 concepts, but that doesn't mean they'll be good ones. Sure we can throw a couple more in that are not what you are looking for simply to meet the concept quota, but that would be deceitful. We provide valid concepts based on your requirements. If a package offers 3 concepts but we feel that a 4th one might be the one, we'll present that one as well. We want to make sure you get a logo you are proud to present to your clients and prospects.

I've seen logo packages for as low as $69 on the internet. Why are your prices so high compared to these?
Our answer – you get what you paid for. These cheaper logos aren't custom. They use a gallery of clip art and corporate icons. The colors are changed and maybe the text style, but it's really the same logo recycled for another company. How do you think Nike would feel if Reebok used their 'swoosh'? Our packages give you a custom logo designed exclusively for you. This way, you don't need to worry about your competitor having the same logo you just paid for.

How can I pay for my logo design?

Solution Graphics
We accept major credit cards through the PayPal system www.paypal.com. We use third party payment processors rather than process your credit card ourselves because these companies are the experts at making your buying experience safe and highly secure. This is what they do for a living, whereas we design logos and websites. We never personally see your credit card details and the information is not held or stored by us in any way. This protects you as well as protecting us. We also accept personal or business checks, or money orders. Please keep in mind that mailing your check or money order will delay the initial design process until the payment has cleared.

How will I know my payment has been received and you will begin the design process?
You will know your payment has been received because you will receive confirmation via e-mail detailing the package ordered and payment approval.

How can I send the information which I would like you to use when designing my logo?
Communication is critical during the design process. Since we create custom logos your input is extremely important. The order form is specifically designed so that we may gather as much information from you as possible about your business and logo idea. You may also send your ideas, rough sketches, suggestions, anything you think may be of help to capture your idea before the start of the project. If you have a vision for your logo, PLEASE let us know regardless of how sketchy or rough you may think it is. Attachments can be send to artwork@aragondesigns.com

How long does it take to create my concepts?
Your samples will be ready for viewing within one week after we receive your payment and all necessary details to begin the design process. After the initial concepts, the completion time is completely up to you. If you respond promptly, the images will be in your possession within a week of approving the initial design. We can't move forward until you have selected a sample. We ask that you respond in a timely manner to our emails.

How many logo design samples do we get to choose from?
The number of logo design samples depends on the information you provided with your initial order. If you provided specifics regarding style, we will provide several examples we feel capture the image you wish to convey. The average number of samples provided is 3.

What if I don’t like any of the samples provided in the initial design?
If for some reason, we didn't match your chosen style in the initial samples, we will perform one more initial concept redraw. To help prevent this from happening, we ask that you be as detailed as possible when filling out our Logo Information page. If you have a vision for your new logo, PLEASE convey this to us. However once you choose any one of the initial samples and we work on the refinement, any other additional samples thereafter may be ordered for an additional 50% of the logo package cost. Please see the package page on our site for the various Price Packages offered.

What is your Guaranteed Satisfaction policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your logo. If you want to cancel the process (before the first round of revisions) or after a redraw session, simply let us know and we will refund half of your package price. However, if you choose one of the initial samples and we work on the refinements, no refund will be issued.

How many changes may I ask for with my logo?
After approval of the initial design, we can revise the approved concept several times until you are satisfied.

What is a Revision?
A revision is a minor graphical alteration to your sample logo, not an entire redraw. A revision is considered a change in color, or changing the placement of an item within the design. This allows us the opportunity to tailor your new image exactly the way you want it.

What is the difference between a corporate image and an illustration?
There is a substantial difference between Corporate Designs and Illustrated Logos. Corporate Designs are simple but are unique and memorable images that are highly recognizable from any reasonable distance and size. An example would be Nike's "swoosh". Illustrated logos require more complex artwork. The turnaround for these types of logos is dependent upon the complexity of the illustration. The price for Illustration logos vary and can be quoted upon request.

Do you use illustrations?
We can prepare illustrations for your company however, our packages and prices do not include illustrated logos. Illustrations will be quoted on a custom basis.

Is all work conducted via the web?
We present artwork and collect information via the web and email. Your logos are posted to a private viewing page on our web site where we request your feedback. You are welcome to contact us anytime to discuss your project via email. If you'd prefer a phone call, just let us know and we’ll give you a call.

How will I receive my final files?
All final files will be made available for 30 days for download from a private directory. We recommend that you make a hard copy of these files. If you require a CD mailed containing the files, please let us know prior to finalizing the design so that we may coordinate the best method.

Do you keep the logo design on your backup system; say if my computer crashes will you still have my logo?
Yes we do for a limited time. We backup our work. If for any reason you require another copy of your logo, please don't hesitate to email us. However we suggest that you keep a backup copy of the logo format.

What kind of files do you provide of the final artwork?
We provide the original artwork in EPS and WMF files (vector artwork). If you have access to vector applications, we would be happy to provide the .CDR source file as well. We also provide other commonly used formats such as JPG, TIF, BMP, and GIFs in both color and grayscale to ensure you have the file type you need for each job.

What is a .CDR file?
We use CorelDraw to create your logo which is saved as a .cdr file, a vector file. A vector file is the base from which all other files are generated. This is the file you will want your professional printer and web designer to work with. Basically a vector file can be manipulated in various ways which will not cause the image to lose its resolution. You must have Illustrator, Photoshop or CorelDraw to open this file. If you happen to have any of these programs, we strongly recommend making a duplicate copy before manipulating the image.

What rights do I retain with the logo?
After full payment is received, all artwork is transferred to your company. You retain full rights to final artwork created for your business. We strongly recommend that you contact your lawyer and take the necessary steps to protect your new image. This will deter other businesses from "borrowing" your logo style.

Do you provide trademarking services?
No, we do not provide this service.

Which package should I choose? What about upgrading?
This depends mostly on your needs, your budget, and if you have an idea of what you want. If you purchase a package and then decide you require additional items and want to upgrade to the Comprehensive Package, you may upgrade to this package price and we will only charge you the difference.

Is the stationery you design compatible with Word and can I print it on a desktop printer?
The stationery we design is meant for professional print output of your business cards, letterhead & envelopes. You must take the files we provide to a commercial print outfit to have them printed. If you need a Word template of your letterhead, we can do this too. Just let us know prior to delivering the final files.

I printed out the logo existing on line on my printer and the colors are different than the ones I see on the screen. Why?
The way the color appear on the screen are different than those that appear in print for several reasons. First of all, all monitors display colors differently. You must calibrate your monitor and printer – otherwise, your printed colors will look different from what appears on your screen. Even after calibration, the colors may not exactly match because one is additive color (RGB) and the other is subtractive color (CMYK). It is very rare that a computer monitor will display accurately the colors in your artwork.

What is RGB and CMYK? Why are they different?
On your screen, you have RGB color which stands for the additive colors: Red, Green and Blue. Additive colors are obtained by using light beams to produce the colors and are optimized for display on computer monitors. Printed work uses CMYK ink which is subtractive color and stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Additive color emanates directly from a light source. Because additive color comes to our eyes directly (unless it is filtered), it is purer color and is able to represent a broader range of the spectrum than subtractive color. For this reason, even under the best circumstances, additive and subtractive colors never match exactly.
